Nutrient-Packed Protein Milkshake Recipe

Hello again!

Today I am super exited to share a recipe that I whipped up this morning and let me tell you, she's a game changer.

Little fact about me, I have quite the sweet tooth. When my chocolate cravings come around, they come with a vengeance. As a whole, I do my best to avoid refined sugars- I don't think everyone truly realizes how damaging consuming too much  is. Weight gain completely aside, consuming an excess of sugar is directly linked to numerous fatal conditions such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and many others. Though I am 100% for treating yourself in moderation, processed sugar is generally best avoided.

Why do I bring this up? Because for years I wasn't sure if there was a way to "treat myself" while nourishing my body. I did the work and the copious amount of research and finally I can confidently tell you I've found several solutions... including this one. I am beyond thrilled to announce my NUTRIENT-PACKED PROTEIN MILKSHAKE!! *cue applause*

Best part, this bad boy is darn easy to make. The protein I use has only the natural sugar of half an apple and contains so many of the macro and micro nutrients I am usually deficient in.

Ingredients:

- 2 scoops of protein powder (for this recipe I used mint chocolate protein)

- 6oz of water

- A handful of ice cubes (thickness of milkshake depends on how many ice cubes you use)

- 1 frozen banana

- Homemade mint chocolate bar

How to Make:

Blend the protein, ice and banana for 5-10 seconds (if you want it thicker blend it for less time). Open blender and throw in the chocolate bar (I made it myself, check out the recipe! It takes about 5 minutes to make). Blend for a few seconds to break up the chocolate bar. I liked my chunks bigger so I didn't blend for long.

And TA-DAAA. A delicious treat that your body will thank you for.

I really hope you enjoy it, because I sure did.

Have a great day xx
